Regasketing

Regasketing critical transformers is vital to prevent moisture and oxygen from entering the transformer and oil from contaminating the environment.  Oil leaks are not an acceptable option and any water or oxygen that enters the transformer through a bad gasket will accelerate the formation of harmful byproducts that break down the insulation.  For EHV class transformers, incoming water can also cause the transformer to fail.  It’s not worth the risk.  Let MVA regasket your transformer to help protect it from premature failure.
